One is pleased to partner with a leading law firm in the military space in its search for an experienced Paralegal to assist its team on a remote, contract basis. The successful candidate will be experienced in advocating for Service members undergoing the military disability evaluation process (IDES/MEB/PEB).

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with a firm that exclusively represents those who are serving or have served in any branch of the military and other government organizations, including those who have been injured in service, who are challenging allegations of misconduct, who are entitled to a military disability pension, and who are in need of a medical evaluation board.

The firm is open to the person in this role working on a project or direct hire remote basis.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Focusing on the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES) process and developing timelines and identifying other actions necessary
• Managing the entire IDES and legal process from beginning to end
• Establishing and executing the legal strategies and policies necessary to meet our clients’ legal issues
• Managing a client’s case from beginning to end
• Organizing and managing clients’ digital and hardcopy records

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience providing human resources or legal support to service members
• Understanding of the military and the Integrated Disability Evaluation System (IDES).Ability to comprehend military regulations and policy relating to the relevant caseload
• Extreme attention to detail with perfectionistic tendencies
• Enjoy working independently
• High ethical standards

Compensation is commensurate with experience (up to $37/hour); benefits available.
