The firm is small but serves an established and growing nationwide clientele of Christian and academic publishers, ministries, and other content organizations in intellectual property, publishing, technology, and transactional matters.
The position is based in the firm’s Bend, Oregon office but a remote working arrangement during the first year, with regular visits to the office, is negotiable. The firm offers competitive compensation and benefits, as well as the opportunity to be considered for an equity partner track.

Location and arrangementThe position is based in Bend, Oregon, with remote work possible during the first year and regular office visits encouraged.
ResponsibilitiesThe role involves providing sophisticated legal work in intellectual property, publishing, technology, and transactional matters, with emphasis on quality client service and professional excellence.
Qualifications- At least two years of experience with a mid to large sized law firm or corporate legal department.
- A degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. state or territory and able to be admitted to the Oregon Bar and likely one additional state bar.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and communication abilities, including the ability to produce high-quality written work product analyzing intellectual property matters; proven ability to identify win-win solutions to complex legal problems.
- Proven ability to concisely explain sophisticated legal concepts to clients.
- Contract drafting and negotiating experience is preferred but will consider training an exceptional candidate with other strong writing and research skills.
- Familiarity with the role of intellectual property and technology in commercial transactions.
- Interest in copyright and trademark law, particularly in publishing, media, and content-related industries, and eagerness to learn the field.
