An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Land Use and Zoning Attorney in New York City to join a market-leading boutique law firm specializing in all aspects of Real Estate

This Zoning Attorney in New York City role offers exposure to complex, high-value matters representing developers, property owners, institutional clients and investors in some of New York City's most significant development projects

The practices work involves zoning analysis, due diligence, development rights transactions, as well as ongoing advisory work on the Zoning resolution and related regulations.

• Advising on complex Zoning and land use matters for an NYC client base
• Handling discretionary land use approvals, including rezonings, special permits
• Managing landmark matters before the New York City Planning commision
• Working closely with senior attorneys on business-critical transactions
• Acting for a high-quality client base including developers, investors and landlords

• Qualified attorney with 3+ of private practice or government experience
• Strong background in land use and zoning matters specifically in NYC
• Experience conducting zoning due diligence and preparing zoning analyses
• Commercially astute with strong technical and analytical ability
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build client relationships
• J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted to practice in New York
• Highly organized with strong time-management capabilities
• Able to work independently within a collaborative, specialist team
