Job Description

Job Description

Our growing mid-size federal sector employment and labor law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our principal office in Dallas, Texas. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney looking to build a long-term career in a specialized area of litigation. Unlike many legal positions, our associates receive meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, and hands-on litigation experience early in their careers.

Associates will have direct access to firm leadership and senior attorneys along with a collaborative and supportive work environment.

No prior experience in federal employment or labor law is required. We provide comprehensive training and mentorship for new hires. Recently licensed Texas attorneys and attorneys licensed in jurisdictions outside of Texas are encouraged to apply.
We are also accepting applicants who are currently waiting for Bar results.

About the Position

The Associate Attorney will work directly with Senior Associates and firm leadership on matters involving federal employment and labor law. This role offers substantial litigation exposure from the outset. No billable hours requirement!

Responsibilities include:
  • Drafting Motions, discovery requests, and responses to proposed adverse actions
  • Conducting legal research
  • Assisting with depositions, hearings, and mediations
  • Corresponding with clients and developing case strategy

This position is ideal for an attorney with strong writing ability, professionalism, attention to detail, and a desire to develop litigation and advocacy skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Licensed and in good standing with any U.S. state bar
  • Strong legal writing, research, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work effectively in a team environment
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
