Attorney – Insurance DefenseHarwood Lloyd, LLP, a New York and New Jersey firm, seeks a full-time Attorney to join our New York Insurance Defense Department. The ideal candidate has strong trial experience, deposition intake, legal knowledge, and works autonomously with our clients and other attorneys. The candidate should have an extensive understanding of New York court procedures, specifically in Queens and Kings County. The role is 100% fully remote, and we are seeking an immediate hire for our growing team.
You are required to live in proximity to the New York Courts, within the NYC and Tri-State area to make court appearances. New York bar admission is required;
New Jersey bar admission is a plus.
- Handle a variety of insurance defense matters across the five boroughs from initial file opening through discovery to resolution, including trial.
- Engage in deposition intake and coordinate with clients and attorneys; participate in discovery and trial preparation as needed.
- Manage cases in accordance with firm policies and court procedures.
- New York Bar admission required;
New Jersey bar admission is a plus. - Strong trial experience; experience taking depositions.
- Ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
- Residence in or near NYC/Tri-State area to accommodate court appearances.
Full-time, 100% remote position. Court appearances required.
