The RoleAs a Social Security Disability Attorney
, you will play a critical role in representing claimants through all stages of the disability benefits process. This position is ideal for an attorney with a passion for client advocacy
, strong litigation skills
, and a commitment to serving individuals facing life-altering disabilities
.
- Manage a caseload of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) claims
, including initial filings, appeals, and hearings
. - Represent clients before Administrative Law Judges, preparing them for testimony and advocating on their behalf.
- Evaluate medical records, work history, and vocational evidence to build strong cases for disability benefits.
- Collaborate with medical professionals and expert witnesses to strengthen case arguments.
- Provide compassionate, client-centered representation
, guiding clients through a complex and often overwhelming legal process. - Stay current on Social Security disability law and regulatory changes to ensure the highest quality representation.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the Colorado Bar (or eligible for reciprocity).
- 5+ years of experience in Social Security disability law (preferred) or related fields such as administrative law, public benefits law, or litigation.
- Excellent communication skills
, with an ability to explain complex legal concepts to clients in a clear and empathetic manner. - Strong legal writing skills for drafting appeals, briefs, and other case documents.
- A deep commitment to advocacy for individuals with disabilities.
