We are seeking an experienced Senior Estate Planning Paralegal who enjoys both drafting sophisticated estate plans and building strong relationships with clients.

This is a 100% remote position for a candidate who resides in Colorado and is available during the firm’s regular Mountain Time business hours. The ideal candidate is self-directed, highly organized, comfortable working with clients virtually, and able to draft estate planning documents accurately with minimal supervision. This role is well suited for someone seeking a long-term career with a supportive, process-driven firm that values quality over billable hours.

Responsibilities

You will help manage estate planning matters from drafting through final delivery while ensuring that every client receives an exceptional experience.

Responsibilities include:

  • Draft wills, revocable trusts, beneficiary-controlled trusts, powers of attorney, deeds, beneficiary documents, amendments, and other estate planning documents
  • Prepare sophisticated estate plans using firm templates and estate planning drafting software
  • Conduct virtual client explanation meetings using attorney-approved materials and established firm protocols
  • Help clients understand trust-funding and incapacity-planning steps while referring legal questions and recommendations to the supervising attorney
  • Conduct annual estate plan review meetings in accordance with attorney direction and firm procedures
  • Identify potential amendment needs and prepare recommendations and fee agreements for attorney review
  • Perform detailed quality-control reviews before documents are finalized
  • Track deadlines and move matters efficiently through the production process
  • Communicate with clients and third parties regarding missing information and outstanding tasks
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and timely case-management records
  • Collaborate remotely with attorneys and support staff to provide outstanding client service
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, templates, checklists, and internal systems
Schedule and Work Location
  • Monday through Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • Regular availability during the firm’s Mountain Time business hours
  • 100% remote within Colorado
  • No regular in-office attendance required

Occasional attendance at in-person firm events may be requested with reasonable advance notice.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Three to five years of substantive paralegal experience
  • Significant experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, amendments, deeds, and related estate planning documents
  • Experience using Wealth Counsel, Elder Counsel, or comparable estate planning drafting software
  • The ability to draft estate planning documents accurately with minimal supervision
  • Strong proofreading and document-quality-control skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience communicating directly with clients
  • Comfort leading client meetings by Zoom or another virtual platform
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, deadline-management, and follow-through skills
  • The ability to work independently while remaining engaged with a collaborative remote team
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
  • Residence in Colorado and regular availability during Mountain Time business hours
