Rideshare and Um​/UIM Associate Attorney

Overview

Phillips, Spallas & Angstadt LLP is an established civil litigation law firm with offices in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Napa Valley, and Las Vegas. We are seeking a civil litigation defense attorney with 4‑5 years of experience in rideshare and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist (UM/UIM) defense litigation to join our San Francisco office. The ideal candidate must be a licensed California attorney looking to join a dynamic, team‑oriented, supportive, and enjoyable environment on a team that values a high quality of work.

• Report directly to a partner and likely serve as the primary handling attorney on your own cases.
• Handle court appearances, discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, arbitrations, pre‑trial preparation, and client updates.
• Prepare for and participate in trials, as needed.
• Lead and mentor junior attorneys and paralegals, providing opportunities for professional growth.
• Support partnership track development and client development initiatives.

• Licensed California attorney with 4–5 years of experience in rideshare and UM/UIM defense litigation.
• 2–3 years of civil litigation experience, including drafting and arguing motions and taking/defending depositions.
• Strong oral and written advocacy skills and a proactive, client‑focused approach.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
