You will define the scope of AI Data Services and Dasher tasks by establishing legal boundaries and measurable success metrics. A core function involves drafting and negotiating agreements that support these services while carefully navigating privacy, intellectual property, and regulatory requirements. You will conduct worker classification analysis to ensure operational alignment with labor laws across numerous jurisdictions. Translating intricate privacy regulations into actionable guidance for data teams managing sensitive user information will be essential.
You will also guide product teams regarding consumer protection rules that impact commerce platform features and user trust. Close coordination with engineering teams will be necessary to embed compliance measures into AI tools and data workflows at the earliest design stages. Partnering with external counsel and regulators to resolve complex matters affecting Dasher logistics and services forms another critical duty.
You will build standardized legal playbooks to streamline workflows, enabling the team to scale advice efficiently without compromising quality. You will assess emerging risks associated with automated decision-making systems used in logistics and task allocation. The role requires you to monitor legislative and regulatory developments that could affect data sourcing and gig economy operations. You will lead cross-functional initiatives to ensure that product roadmaps incorporate legal constraints and opportunities from the outset.
You will evaluate vendor relationships and third-party data arrangements to mitigate contractual and compliance exposure. Facilitating training sessions for internal stakeholders on legal updates and best practices will be a recurring responsibility. You will analyze case law and enforcement trends to inform strategic decisions around data usage and task execution. Your work will involve balancing innovation velocity with the need for rigorous legal oversight and documentation.
Authorization to practice law in a U.S. state is mandatory, accompanied by eight or more years of legal experience. A proven in-house background is required, specifically demonstrating expertise in worker classification, privacy, and data governance. You must possess a thorough understanding of applying privacy frameworks such as CCPA/CPRA and GDPR to technology and data practices. Sound judgment is required to make decisions amid ambiguity while balancing inherent risk against business opportunity.
You must be able to interpret complex regulatory language and apply it to technical products and operational models.
