Midlevel Restructuring and Insolvency Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel Restructuring and Insolvency Associate to join their Charlotte, NC office. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience in bankruptcy judicial law clerk roles or as a practicing commercial bankruptcy lawyer. Experience with avoidable transfer litigation and asset sales is preferred. California bar admission is also preferred but not required.

• Represent debtors and creditors in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
• Engage in state law insolvency proceedings and out-of-court restructurings.
• Collaborate with experienced lawyers across the US platform.
• Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.

• Three to five years of relevant experience.
• Strong academic credentials.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

• Proficiency in bankruptcy law and proceedings.
