Insurance Coverage & Bad Faith Litigation Attorney (Southern California / Remote Option)

California (Remote or Hybrid. Firm has 10+ offices in CA. Candidates can choose to work Remotely, Hybrid or In-Office)

Compensation: $130,000 – $275,000 base salary + bonus

Annual Hours Expectation: 1,900

About

The Role

We are seeking experienced litigation attorneys to join a Southern California team handling complex insurance coverage and extra-contractual claims. Candidates will have the opportunity to manage cases across both state and federal courts, working independently while collaborating with seasoned litigators.

This role is ideal for attorneys with a strong background in insurance-related litigation who are ready to take ownership of matters, develop strategy, and provide high-quality client service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, including first- and third-party property and casualty claims, professional liability, UIM/UM coverage, life, health, and disability claims.
  • Develop and execute discovery plans, including taking and defending depositions.
  • Prepare case assessments, evaluations, and legal strategy recommendations.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to provide practical, high-quality legal advice.
  • Maintain consistent high-quality work while managing multiple matters simultaneously.
Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice in California.
  • Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in insurance coverage and/or extra-contractual claims.
  • Strong academic credentials and proven litigation, writing, and research skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage matters independently while collaborating effectively in a team.
  • Trial experience preferred but not required.
