Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Vendor Management Counsel in San Diego, CA. This role offers the flexibility of a hybrid or fully remote work arrangement. The successful candidate will join a dynamic internal legal team, managing vendor relationships and supporting various business functions.
Duties- Serve as primary lawyer for vendor and supplier contracts across all business functions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements.
- Lead contracting for technology and AI-related engagements.
- Coordinate with attorneys specializing in privacy and data security.
- Partner with business stakeholders to identify legal risks.
- Support and maintain standard contract templates and playbooks.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise the General Counsel.
- Work closely with contract administrator to manage contract portfolio.
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; active bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum 3 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and business-partnering skills.
- Familiarity with generative AI contracting concepts.
- Ability to manage a high volume of matters with competing deadlines.
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
CertificationsActive bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
