Job Overview A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience to join their team in Greenwich, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in state and federal courts in Connecticut and/or Massachusetts, with a preference for intellectual property litigation experience.
Duties- Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Attend court conferences and hearings.
- Argue motions and conduct legal research.
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
- Manage day-to-day case activities.
- Participate in trial preparation.
- 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience.
- Interest in intellectual property litigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical, professional, and client service skills.
- Team-oriented with collaborative skills.
- Effective problem-solving abilities.
Admission to practice law in Connecticut or Massachusetts, or ability to become admitted.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
- Bar admission in Connecticut or Massachusetts.
- Strong advocacy and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and proactively.
- Creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Hybrid work environment with remote work two days per week.
