Midlevel Associate in International Trade Investment Controls and National Security

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a midlevel associate to join the International Trade, Investment Controls, and National Security practice group in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of legal experience and expertise in regulatory practices related to export and import controls, foreign ownership, control, or influence mitigation measures, sanctions, and other trade regulations.

Collaborate with experienced lawyers to provide high-quality client service. Engage in regulatory practices within export and import controls. Manage projects and demonstrate strong writing skills. Assume increasing levels of responsibility and client contact.

Three to five years of legal experience in relevant fields. Strong academic credentials and excellent communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Bar admission in good standing.

Proficiency in regulatory practices related to trade and investment controls. Strong project management and writing skills.
