Job Description & How to Apply Below
Latitude Legal is seeking an experienced California-licensed Labor & Employment (PAGA) Attorney to support a well-regarded AmLaw 200 firm on a fully remote, engagement basis. The engagement is ongoing with an immediate start, and hours are flexible. The firm is open to candidates available full-time or part-time, depending on candidate's preferences.

The firm's Labor & Employment practice handles a broad mix of employer-side work, from high-stakes wage and hour class actions and PAGA/representative actions to single-plaintiff matters involving wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and retaliation. The scope of this engagement is intentionally flexible. Attorneys who prefer to focus on behind-the-scenes litigation support (e.g., motions, discovery, case development) will find a natural fit, as will those who want more direct client contact, deposition work, or courtroom presence.

The firm is open to candidates across that spectrum and will work with the right attorney to define a role that plays to their strengths.

What You'll Do Includes:

Handle or support wage and hour class actions, PAGA representative actions, and single-plaintiff employment litigation matters

Draft and argue motions, oppositions, and related briefing in California state and federal court

Manage written discovery, including propounding and responding to discovery requests and preparing discovery strategy

Take and defend depositions; assist with deposition preparation and witness examination

Support mediation prep and participate in mediations and settlement discussions

Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit organization, witness preparation, and pretrial briefing; opportunities for direct trial participation depending on experience and engagement scope

Advise on case strategy and risk; work directly with supervising partners and, where appropriate, client teams

Handle routine court appearances and hearings as needed

Who You Are:

California-licensed attorney in good standing with 4+ years of California labor and employment litigation experience, with meaningful exposure to wage and hour class actions, PAGA/representative actions, and single-plaintiff matters

Solid grasp of the full litigation lifecycle, from case assessment and pleadings through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial prep Strong legal writer with the analytical chops to handle complex, multi-party matters without sacrificing quality or efficiency

Deposition experience (taking and/or defending) preferred; comfort with routine court appearances and hearings a plus

Able to work independently in a remote environment, managing concurrent assignments across multiple matters with minimal oversight

Client-ready when needed, capable of representing the firm's interests directly with employer clients when the role calls for it California licensed and in good standingJ.D. from an accredited law school
