Established and highly regarded Tysons, Virginia based law firm seeks a Government Contracts Attorney with four or more years of relevant experience to join its growing government contracts practice. Associate, senior associate, and counsel roles are available, commensurate with experience. The firm advises clients on a broad range of federal contracting matters, including bid protests and claims, FAR compliance, subcontracting and teaming issues, joint venture agreements, and small business federal procurement programs.

Candidates must have bid protest experience and knowledge of the FAR. Prior experience with contract claims, prime/subcontractor negotiations and disputes, joint ventures, M&A, and the federal small business programs are strong pluses.

This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated matters with direct client interaction in a collegial and collaborative environment. The firm provides a competitive compensation and benefits package, hybrid remote work, and a strong commitment to work-life balance. The base salary range for this position is $175,000 – $200,000, based on experience.

Although the attorney will primarily support the government contracts team, the firm’s collaborative structure requires engagement across all practice areas.

Requirements:

  • Four or more years of government contracts experience.
  • Familiarity with the FAR and DFARS.
  • Experience with subcontracts and teaming issues, contract claims, M&A, and the federal small business programs are a strong pluses.
  • Excellent analytical, writing, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and develop subject matter expertise.
  • Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
  • Active member in good standing of the bar of any jurisdiction; if not admitted to the Virginia Bar, willingness to seek Virginia admission.
