We are seeking a mid‑level associate for our Staff Counsel legal team in downtown Boston. The role is hybrid, involving daily in‑person and remote work.

• Represent Arbella insureds in bodily injury and property damage cases.
• Interview clients and witnesses.
• Prepare and conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Prepare and argue motions in Massachusetts courts.
• Provide advice to colleagues in the Claim Department and business units.
• Negotiate settlements.
• Support Senior Counsel on cases and projects.
• Monitor and stay abreast of case law, conduct research, draft memoranda.

• JD degree; admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
• 3–6 years of insurance defense litigation experience.
• Excellent legal research, writing, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong critical‑thinking, adaptability, and attention to detail.
• Admittance to the Bars in CT, NH, and/or RI is a plus.

Estimated annual salary range: $96,000 – $130,000, based on factors such as experience, education, and performance, with eligibility for the company’s bonus plan. The offered pay range is not a guarantee of a specific wage.
