Litigation Associate

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate with 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience to join their team in New Haven, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in state and federal courts in Connecticut and/or Massachusetts, with a preference for intellectual property litigation experience.

• Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court conferences and hearings.
• Argue motions and conduct legal research.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.
• Manage day-to-day case activities.
• Participate in trial preparation.

• 1-3 years of commercial litigation experience.
• Interest in intellectual property litigation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong technical, professional, and client service skills.
• Team-oriented with collaborative skills.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.
• Admission to practice law in Connecticut or Massachusetts, or ability to become admitted (dual admission is a plus).

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Admission to the Bar in Connecticut or Massachusetts.

• Strong advocacy and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Creative problem-solving skills.

• Hybrid work environment with remote work two days per week.
