Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Education Law Attorney to join its Costa Mesa, California office. This position offers remote work flexibility, allowing for a portion of the workweek to be conducted remotely. The role involves representing education agencies in civil litigation, with a focus on claims and defenses available to public entities.

• Analyze and execute litigation strategies through all stages of litigation.
• Conduct depositions and manage written discovery processes.
• Maintain proactive client communication, providing liability and damage analyses.
• Represent clients in hearings, motions, and mediations.
• Review and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Develop cost-effective legal strategies for case resolution.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
• Admission to the California State Bar.
• 4+ years of litigation experience preferred.
• Experience in trials and/or administrative hearings is a plus.
• Strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
• Experience in civil litigation; representing public entities or education agencies preferred.
• Knowledge of laws and procedures applicable to public entities.

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

Admission to the California State Bar.
