Labor & Employment Associate Attorney

South Florida | Full-Time | Hybrid | Remote Potential Based on Experience

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Attorney with 3–6 years of practical law firm experience to join its growing South Florida practice.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney who enjoys counseling employers, handling employment litigation, and serving as a trusted business advisor. The position offers sophisticated work, direct client interaction, and the opportunity to work alongside experienced employment attorneys in a collaborative environment. Excellent training and mentorship.

The attorney selected for this role will work on a broad range of labor and employment matters, including:

• Defending employers in federal and state employment litigation
• Advising employers on day-to-day employment issues and workplace policies
• Handling claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, restrictive covenants, and wrongful termination
• Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, employment agreements, policies, and separation agreements
• Conducting legal research and preparing substantive memoranda
• Managing discovery, depositions, mediations, and hearings
• Counseling clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Working directly with business owners, executives, HR professionals, and in-house counsel

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 3–6 years of practical labor and employment experience at a law firm
• Experience representing employers in litigation and counseling matters
• Excellent legal writing, analytical, and advocacy skills
• Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills
• Ability to independently manage matters while collaborating with a team
