"Trust and Estate Associate Attorney | New York, NY (Hybrid) | Class Years 2022 and earlier | $310,000 to $420,000 USD plus big bonuses

A prominent AmLaw 200 New York law firm is seeking a mid to senior level associate with at least four years of experience to join its private client group. You will work directly with high net worth individuals, families, and family entities on the full spectrum of wealth transfer and tax planning, supported by a sophisticated practice and a client base that rewards depth of expertise.

The ideal candidate brings substantive experience across tax law, wealth management, and trusts and estates.

• Advise high net worth individuals and family entities on estate, gift, generation skipping transfer, and income tax matters.
• Draft prenuptial and postnuptial agreements.
• Handle estate administration from start to finish.
• Manage tax controversy matters, including IRS examinations and appeals.
• Conduct legal research and analysis using both traditional library resources and electronic research platforms.
• Correspond and collaborate with colleagues, clients, and opposing counsel, building strong and lasting working relationships.

• Four or more years of relevant experience, ideally gained at a large New York firm with a comparable private client practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational instincts and the ability to prioritize a demanding workload independently.
• A track record of stability and consistency in your legal career since law school.

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York
