Senior Water Lawyer

Bushong & Holleman, a leading Colorado water law firm located in downtown Boulder, isseeking a mid-level or senior associate to join our team.

Ideal candidates will have at least four years and preferably more experience practicing Coloradowater law. Experience in related state and federal regulations, water quality, land use, and environmental matters is a plus. In addition to strong credentials and references, the candidate should be detail orientated, skilled in legal research, writing, and oral and written advocacy, andwell versed in taking initiative in cases and projects while managing deadlines.

The starting salary range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000 depending on experience, plus an additional 15% SEP IRA payment with no required matching. Bushong & Holleman also has a generousbonus program based on quality of work and hours billed above the minimum expectation, which is anaverage of 135 billable hours a month. By example, the bonus formula would result in a bonus ofmore than $20,000 a year for billing an average of 150 hours a month.

In addition to litigation and appeals,our practice entails water supply planning, legislation, and complex transactional, contractual,and permitting matters related to water, land, and the environment in Colorado. We also practicepro hac vice on water and environmental matters in other Western States.
