Job Description
- Handle probate and trust litigation matters from case assessment through resolution.
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Conduct detailed legal research and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Communicate directly with clients and provide clear, practical legal guidance.
- Independently manage assigned matters while collaborating with attorneys and support staff.
- Prepare cases for trial and participate in trial proceedings when appropriate.
- Analyze complex probate, trust, fiduciary, and estate-related disputes and identify effective solutions.
- Contribute to a high-quality practice where strong judgment, writing, advocacy, and client service are valued.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of direct probate and trust litigation experience.
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing.
- Substantive courtroom and deposition experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills.
- Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team.
- Trial experience is a plus.
- Probate administration, estate planning, commercial litigation, or corporate law experience is a plus.
