Job details
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000 per year
- Must have active Nebraska license!
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or argue for the plaintiff's case in personal injury disputes.
- Conduct legal research and analysis of relevant laws, regulations, legal articles, judicial decisions, and other legal sources to prepare case accordingly.
- Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, contracts, and other necessary documents.
- Negotiate settlements for legal disputes in the best interest of clients, aiming to resolve cases favorably and quickly.
- Advise clients on their legal rights, discussing the potential for a lawsuit or negotiating a settlement.
- Develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- A current license to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a personal injury attorney.
- Proven experience in trial practice, mediation, legal research, and document drafting.
- Exceptional legal writing skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of successful dispute resolution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to maintain a professional relationship with clients and work collaboratively with a team.
