SALARY:

The salary range for this position is $55,943.00 to $95,153.11 for Schedule A, and $55,943.00 to $91,346.99 for Schedule

B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to October 31, 2015 are considered Schedule

A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after October 31, 2015 are considered Schedule

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking an individual with strong problem solving, customer service, and interpersonal skills in Probation-Child Support. Under the general direction of the Court Executive 2B (Probation Division Manager) and Court Executive 1b (Assistant Division Manager) and other supervisory personnel, the selected individual will manage a caseload of active child support cases. The selected candidate will use their strong technical competence and reasoning skills to prioritize cases and resolve case issues that deal with emancipations, credits and income with holdings;

confer with the Family Division and Welfare staff to resolve complicated issues; generate appropriate and correct financial notes to both the local Finance Division and the State Disbursement Unit;
Respond to client inquiries and walk-in customers who may have difficult and challenging issues; appear in Family Court to present cases before a judge or hearing officer to provide information regarding the status of an order, warrant, modification or other issues;
Advise judges on case issues;
Recommend incarceration of non-compliant noncustodial parents:
Collect court-ordered payments;
Analyze cases in accordance with existing laws, regulations or professional practices; and perform other related duties.

REMOTE WORK:

The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, in addition to installing a multifactor authentication app on your phone or tablet, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.

  • Maintain case files in a neat and chronological order, insuring that documentation required by federal guidelines and documentation of case actions is contained in the file.
  • Comply with court rules and directives pertaining to the confidentiality of court records and case information especially in cases involving domestic violence issues.
  • Utilization of reports to make effective and appropriate referrals for either an Enforcement hearing, Bench Warrant, and/or our employment program to obtain the help needed in order to obtain full time employment. Monitors the data on NJKiDS with appropriate coding and information to provide an accurate case tracking system to insure appropriate case actions are taken in compliance with federal guidelines as the case leaves the Intake unit and is placed on a regular collections caseload.
  • Utilization of reports to make effective and appropriate referrals for court enforcement and the issuance of warrants thereby maximizing caseload collections
  • Maintain a history of relevant case activity through the use of case notes in the NJKiDS computer system. As well as upload all required document in to the NJKIDS computer system, EDOC page for a complete and accurate case history.
