Position OverviewPursuant Energy Partners is seeking an experienced Abstract / Mineral Title Agents for full-time work supporting projects primarily throughout West Virginia and the Appalachian region
.
This position is ideal for an experienced title professional with a strong background in complex West Virginia mineral title who can work independently, produce accurate title work, and meet project deadlines.
Work Schedule: Full-time (Contract) | 5-day ticket | Day rate
1099 Contract
Location: WV/Appalachia preferred. Local candidates with courthouse access are preferred, but remote work may be considered for highly experienced candidates.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed mineral and surface title research
- Prepare accurate abstracts and title reports
- Research and analyze complex chains of title
- Review deeds, leases, reservations, conveyances, and other recorded instruments
- Identify ownership discrepancies, title issues, and curative requirements
- Conduct courthouse research and obtain records when needed
- Maintain accurate and organized title documentation
- Meet project deadlines and production expectations
- Work independently while communicating effectively with the project team
- 5+ years of abstract/mineral title experience required
- 10-15+ years strongly preferred
- Extensive knowledge of West Virginia mineral title
- Experience with complex mineral ownership and title issues
- Strong understanding of county records, deeds, conveyances, and chains of title
- Ability to independently research and analyze title
- Exceptional attention to detail and organization
- Strong work ethic and consistent production
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Courthouse access in WV/Appalachia preferred; remote candidates with significant experience will be considered
