Job Overview
An international law firm is seeking a Resource Attorney to support its Emerging Growth & Venture Capital (EGVC) practice within the Corporate Department. This professional-track role focuses on developing practice resources, improving workflows, supporting knowledge management initiatives, and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and collaboration across the practice.
Duties- Develop and maintain the EGVC practice’s corporate resource strategy in collaboration with practice leadership
- Create, organize, and update precedent documents, forms, playbooks, checklists, and other practice materials
- Monitor and communicate legal, regulatory, market, and industry developments relevant to emerging growth and venture capital matters
- Analyze market trends, experience data, and practice metrics, including maintaining and optimizing experience databases
- Improve attorney collaboration and information sharing across offices and practice groups
- Evaluate and enhance workflows and matter management processes through process improvement initiatives and technology solutions
- Support the implementation and use of AI tools, document automation systems, and data analytics platforms
- Design and deliver internal and client-facing training programs for the EGVC practice
- Coordinate targeted content and resource contributions from attorneys within the practice group
- Draft client alerts, legal updates, and thought leadership materials related to emerging growth and venture capital developments
- Collaborate with innovation, IT, marketing, professional development, and international corporate teams on practice initiatives
- Promote adoption of practice tools, resources, and knowledge-sharing initiatives within the Corporate Department
- Participate in department and practice group meetings and assist with additional assignments as needed
- Minimum of 5 years of law firm experience practicing corporate law
- Prior experience with emerging growth, venture capital, or related transactional matters preferred
- Strong understanding of attorney workflows and resource management within a corporate practice
- Interest in legal innovation, technology, knowledge management, and process improvement
- Experience with legal technology, document automation, AI tools, or data analytics preferred
- Ability to manage projects, workflows, and multiple initiatives efficiently
- Willingness to travel occasionally and work beyond standard business hours when needed
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice law in the applicable office jurisdiction
- Excellent drafting, legal research, and content development abilities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to analyze and improve operational processes
- Collaborative mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with legal technology and knowledge management systems preferred
