Company Description ANR Collaborative Divorce (AN|R Law: A Negotiation Resolution) is a collaborative family law firm serving central and eastern North Carolina, with offices in Greenville, Raleigh, Beaufort, and Wilmington. Led by owner and attorney Ashley-Nicole Russell, the firm focuses on family law, collaborative divorce, and mediation services. ANR Collaborative Divorce emphasizes non-adversarial solutions that help clients protect their children, assets, and emotional well-being from the costs of traditional litigation.

Role Description This is a full-time hybrid Attorney role based in the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill Area, with some flexibility to work from home. The Attorney will advise clients on family law matters, including collaborative divorce and mediation, and support clients through negotiation settlement-focused processes and litigation. Daily responsibilities include client consultations, case assessment, legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and preparing settlement agreements, litigation of child custidy and Equitable Distributiin.

The Attorney will work closely with clients and other professionals to facilitate collaborative resolutions, participate in mediation sessions, and maintain detailed case files and documentation. The role also involves staying current with relevant laws and regulations, contributing to firm best practices, and supporting outreach or educational efforts related to collaborative family law.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Law and Family Law, with the ability to apply legal principles to collaborative divorce and mediation matters.
• Demonstrated ability to provide clear, practical Legal Advice that supports settlement-focused, client-centered outcomes.
• Proficiency in legal Research, including statutes, case law, and regulations, and in translating findings into actionable guidance.
• Advanced Negotiation skills, particularly in collaborative and mediation settings, with a focus on conflict resolution and preserving relationships.
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in North Carolina (or eligibility for prompt admission).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting agreements, correspondence, and client-facing documents.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion when working with sensitive family matters and confidential information.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple cases with strong organizational skills.
• Prior experience in family law, mediation, or collaborative law is preferred; relevant training or certifications in mediation or collaborative practice are a plus.
