Senior Subrogation Attorney

• Manage auto and property subrogation litigation from investigation through resolution
• Evaluate cases, conduct discovery and depositions, handle motion practice, negotiations, arbitrations, trials, and post-trial motions
• Investigate subrogation claims, identify liability, evaluate damages, and determine recovery strategies
• Contact and negotiate with third-party carriers
• Review file assignments, approve initial pleadings, propound discovery, and develop litigation and negotiation strategies
• Communicate with insureds and internal clients, provide case updates, answer questions, and document communications
• Coordinate with claims teams on litigation plans and strategy conferences
• Review claims files, medical records, expert materials, and liability documentation
• Prepare insureds, clients, and expert witnesses for legal proceedings
• Conduct depositions and prepare summaries and evaluations
• Prepare for and conduct court appearances, hearings, conferences, settlement proceedings, and dispositive motions
• Try and/or arbitrate cases and prepare motions in limine, post-trial motions, and briefs
• Manage legal projects and caseloads across legal, claims, and support teams

• Juris Doctorate
• Active membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar
• 4+ years of attorney experience with a strong focus on auto and property subrogation litigation
• Experience pursuing recovery claims and negotiating with third-party carriers
• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload efficiently
• Ability to work independently and contribute effectively within a collaborative legal team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Lexis Nexis, legal research, case management tools, and internet-based research platforms
• Effective communication skills and experience working with attorneys, paralegals, administrative staff, and claims professionals
• Must be based near an Allstate office in Dallas, Austin, Houston, McAllen, or San Antonio, Texas
• Ability to travel to courts and legal venues throughout the assigned service area as needed
• Background investigation required
• Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload for working from home
• Dedicated, private workspace with appropriate desk and seating
