Work Arrangement:
Hybrid (1 week in office / 1 week remote)
Salary:$60-77K (commensurate with experience)
About the RoleJoin a top-tier St. Louis law firm as a Senior Legal Assistant! We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented professional to support our dynamic legal team. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of alternating weeks in our Clayton office with remote work, giving you the best of both worlds.
You'll be the backbone of our practice operations—collaborating with attorneys and paralegals to deliver exceptional client service while managing the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our firm running smoothly.
What You'll DoDocument & Legal Support:
- Prepare and edit corporate documents including board minutes, real estate closings, banking documentation, and contracts
- Manage document redlining and editing using advanced software
- Prepare and finalize estate planning documents
- Prepare and record deeds
- E-file estate and probate matters
- Draft routine communications and correspondence
- Review and electronically file incoming mail
- Manage internal and external meeting scheduling and calendar coordination
- Communicate effectively with attorneys, staff, and external clients
- Conduct non-legal research utilizing electronic resources
- Work seamlessly with attorneys, paralegals, and the PSS team
- Adapt to changing business needs with flexibility and initiative
- Problem-solving mindset: Ability to work independently, think critically, and complete projects with minimal supervision
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication with diverse attorneys, staff, and clients
- Attention to detail: Expert proofreading eye for contextual, grammatical, typographic, and spelling errors
- Technical proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and redline/compare software; working knowledge of Excel
- Interpersonal skills: Positive attitude, collaborative spirit, and ability to thrive in a team environment
- Education: 2-year Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies or related business degree preferred
