A confidential Dallas-based boutique litigation practice is seeking a senior-level commercial litigator to step into a hands-on role handling sophisticated business disputes, with meaningful responsibility and the opportunity to lead matters and mentor junior team members.

THE ROLE
  • Manage a docket of commercial litigation matters, including partnership and shareholder disputes, fraud claims, and breach of fiduciary duty allegations.
  • Drive strategy and execution across the litigation lifecycle: pleadings, written discovery, depositions, dispositive motions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
  • Work directly with business clients and provide practical risk and dispute-resolution guidance.
  • Coordinate and lead a small case team (junior attorneys and paralegals), including oversight of work product and deadlines.

Hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work.

Compensation:

$135,000 to $200,000 base salary (depending on experience).

REQUIREMENTS
  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
  • Approximately 7+ years of business and commercial litigation experience; candidates with 5+ years may be considered if they have meaningful trial experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex commercial disputes, including partnership and shareholder disputes, fraud, and breach of fiduciary duty.
  • Trial capability and comfort with substantive motion practice and depositions.
  • Ability to manage matters with limited oversight and supervise junior attorneys and/or paralegals.
  • Commitment to the Dallas, Texas market and a stable, long-term-oriented career trajectory.
PREFERRED BACKGROUND
  • Some prior in-house exposure (helpful, but not required).
  • Business development interest and/or ability to originate work (helpful, but not required).
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
  • Billable hours: 1500 to 1850.
  • Bonus structure: includes a 10% origination bonus, and the firm describes a model where attorneys may receive a discretionary bonus tied to performance and billings above the billable requirement (subject to firm performance).
  • Benefits include 401(k), paid time off, and medical, dental, and vision coverage.
