Senior Litigation Paralegal

Position SummaryWe are seeking an experienced, career-focused Senior Litigation Paralegal to support complex litigation matters and investigations from inception through trial, arbitration, and resolution. This role serves as a lead paralegal on large-scale cases, providing advanced litigation support while mentoring junior paralegals and coordinating with attorneys, support staff, vendors, courts, and external stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a large law firm or specialized litigation practice and possess strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities Litigation Case Management- Manage all aspects of litigation support, including case intake, document management, discovery, motion practice support, trial preparation, and post-trial activities.
- Maintain and implement case calendaring systems to track deadlines, filings, hearings, and case milestones.
- Develop, organize, and maintain paper and electronic case files and records.
- Establish and improve systems and procedures for document organization, retrieval, and case management.
- Lead discovery efforts, including document collection, review coordination, and production management.
- Support witness preparation activities, including organizing exhibits and case materials.
- Prepare for and attend trials, arbitrations, hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Coordinate trial and arbitration logistics, including workspace arrangements, remote office setup, vendor management, and on-site support.
- Assist with electronic filings and court submissions in federal, state, and administrative forums.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of junior paralegals and litigation support personnel on complex matters.
- Serve as a liaison between attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
- Provide formal and informal training, guidance, and mentorship to junior team members.
- Collaborate with co-counsel, outside vendors, experts, government agencies, courts, and other third parties as needed.
- Draft, review, and analyze routine legal documents under attorney supervision.
- Conduct legal and factual research using online legal research platforms.
- Perform cite-checking and Bluebook citation review.
- Prepare exhibits, deposition summaries, chronologies, witness files, and trial notebooks.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all client and firm information.
- Adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
- Continuously develop litigation and technology skills to support evolving legal practices.
- Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience in a large law firm, Am Law firm, or specialized litigation practice.
- Experience supporting all phases of litigation, including intake, discovery, trial preparation, and hearings.
- Experience preparing for and attending trials, arbitrations, hearings, and depositions.
- Experience coordinating trial and arbitration logistics and vendor relationships.
- Demonstrated experience managing both electronic and physical case files.
- Strong knowledge of Bluebook citation rules and legal cite-checking.
- Experience with court and administrative agency filings, including e-filing systems.
- Experience using e-discovery platforms such as Relativity
, Nuix Discover
, or similar technologies. - Experience with litigation support software such as Case Map
, Live Note
, or comparable applications. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point .
- Proficiency using legal research platforms such as Lexis Nexis and Westlaw and document management tools such as Adobe Acrobat
. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in both leadership and support roles.
- Demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as required.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
