Active California Bar + Recent California Experience Required
We are actively seeking a Construction Defect Defense Attorney with strong litigation experience to join our team. This is an urgent need for an attorney who can step into a busy caseload and contribute immediately. This role will focus primarily on construction defect defense, with additional exposure to personal injury and general liability matters. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience managing CD cases and is comfortable handling matters from inception through resolution.
Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of construction defect and personal injury defense matters
- Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs
Handle written discovery and depositions - Work closely with clients, insurance carriers, and experts
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
- Develop case strategy and manage files independently
- Collaborate with a strong team of attorneys and litigation support staff
- 1800 billable requirement with strong support staff and efficient workflow
- 3+ years of Construction Defect experience (DEFENSE REQUIRED)
- Additional experience in insurance defense / personal injury defense
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- Recent California litigation experience required
- Strong knowledge of California civil procedure and court systems
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines independently
