Attorney – Chicago, IL / Clayton, MO

Vargas Gonzalez Delombard LLP is seeking a talented, driven, and experienced Attorney to join our growing legal team. This position offers an opportunity to work with our teams in both Illinois and Missouri in a collaborative and fast-paced environment where your expertise, initiative, and ambition will be valued and rewarded.

The ideal candidate is a strong advocate with excellent legal research and writing skills, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage a diverse caseload while working collaboratively with the firm's attorneys and staff.

• Manage and litigate a diverse caseload from inception through resolution.
• Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents, including contracts, motions, briefs, pleadings, and other legal correspondence.
• Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to develop case strategy and support client representation.
• Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, negotiations, and other legal proceedings.
• Provide sound legal counsel and guidance to clients on complex legal matters.
• Collaborate with partners and associates to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files and client records in compliance with firm standards.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties involved in legal matters.

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Illinois bar license and good standing with the Illinois Supreme Court.
• Proven experience in legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, cases, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, attention to detail, and client-focused service.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Active bar license and good standing in both Illinois and Missouri
  .
• Experience practicing in Missouri or handling matters involving Missouri law or courts.
• Experience working with clients and matters across multiple jurisdictions.
• Experience managing a caseload independently from inception through resolution.
