A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Civil Litigation in California, United States. The role involves handling a diverse range of litigation matters, including general liability, premises liability, transportation liability, personal injury, and property damage. The position offers flexibility with remote work options, except for necessary in-person professional engagements.
Duties- Assist in all aspects of litigating civil liability claims in California state courts
- Conduct initial review of plaintiff's complaints and draft responsive pleadings
- Draft and respond to discovery requests and evaluate discovery responses
- Engage in pre-trial and trial activities
- Member of the California State Bar in good standing or CA Bar Exam passer pending admission
- Ability to work in a paperless environment
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- California State Bar membership
- Familiarity with Lexis Nexis or Westlaw
- Proficiency in Merus Case legal practice management software
- Option to work from home or in a traditional office
