Open Train is recruiting a Contract Redlining Attorney for a confidential law and AI training project. You will review commercial agreements, apply established playbooks and policy positions, and use practical transactional judgment to assess redlines, legal risks, and fallback outcomes.

The work covers MSAs, NDAs, DPAs, and similar documents. It combines hands-on contract analysis, redlining judgment, negotiation knowledge, and precise written reasoning.

This is a remote contractor opportunity for U.S.

-based attorneys, with a part-time commitment of 20 or more hours per week. The advertised pay range is $90-$110 per hour.

You will evaluate real-world legal documents against established standards and communicate your reasoning clearly. Consistency, accuracy, and careful interpretation are central to the work.

The role requires independent execution as well as collaboration with project contributors to maintain consistent standards and interpretations.

• Review and redline commercial agreements according to established playbooks and policies
• Identify key legal and commercial issues in contract drafts
• Determine appropriate company positions and fallback outcomes
• Draft clear explanations for redlines and proposed revisions
• Apply contract drafting, negotiation, and technology transactions knowledge
• Analyze limitation of liability, indemnification, confidentiality, and data protection provisions
• Balance legal risk with commercial objectives
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail and high-quality legal writing

Candidates must hold a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and maintain active bar admission in a U.S. jurisdiction. You must also have at least four years of hands-on transactional practice focused on contract drafting, review, and negotiation.
