Commercial Litigation Paralegal / Patent Litigation Paralegal

A well-established and highly regarded law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal / Patent Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys handling primarily patent and commercial litigation matters. This role is ideal for a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can work independently, manage time-sensitive filings, and provide high-quality litigation support in a fully remote environment. Patent litigation experience is preferred but not required;

strong federal court filing and PACER experience are the primary qualifications.

• Provide litigation support to approximately two to three attorneys, primarily supporting patent litigation matters.
• Prepare, format, and file pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents in federal and state courts.
• Conduct federal court docket research and filings using PACER and electronic court filing systems.
• Manage litigation calendars, deadlines, filings, and case-related tasks.
• Support discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
• Maintain organized electronic case files in a fully cloud-based environment.
• Assist with California state-court matters and filings as needed.
• Coordinate documents and materials with attorneys, paralegals, courts, opposing counsel, vendors, and clients.
• Prepare, print, package, and occasionally ship legal documents and materials, including international shipments.
• Transition and assume responsibility for existing matters from other members of the paralegal team.
• Provide support on commercial, patent, and other litigation matters as needed.

• Minimum of five (5) years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and filing documents in federal courts.
• Strong familiarity with PACER and federal electronic filing systems.
• Experience with commercial litigation, patent litigation, or other complex litigation preferred.
• Familiarity with California state courts and procedures.
• Candidates with personal injury or other litigation backgrounds will be considered with strong federal filing experience.
• Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fully remote environment.
• Flexible and comfortable managing changing priorities and time-sensitive assignments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and cloud-based legal systems.
• Access to a Fed Ex and/or UPS facility within a reasonable distance.
• Spanish-language skills are a plus but not required.
