Job Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Paralegal - Remote for a temp-to-hire opportunity supporting a busy legal services team handling Personal Injury and Wrongful Death cases. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who can manage a high-volume caseload, communicate with clients compassionately, and support attorneys through all phases of litigation.
This position offers the opportunity to work with experienced attorneys, managers, supervisors, and legal support professionals in a collaborative paralegal department. Key Responsibilities- Manage an assigned caseload of Personal Injury and Wrongful Death matters from intake through trial preparation and case resolution.
- Communicate with clients regarding fee contracts, case flow, interviews, records, health updates, and case-related needs with professionalism and sensitivity.
- Draft, prepare, review, e-serve, and e-file legal documents including pleadings, complaints, DOE Amendments, Case Management Statements, 998 Offers to Compromise, and trial-related materials.
- Track and meet internal deadlines, court deadlines, Code of Civil Procedure requirements, and case readiness milestones.
- Order, subpoena, and organize medical records, billing records, employment records, pathology, films, economic loss documentation, and other case materials.
- Coordinate with attorneys, deposition coordinators, supervisors, court personnel, defense counsel, and internal departments to move cases forward efficiently.

- Manage Personal Injury and Wrongful Death case files from intake through trial and resolution.
- Prepare litigation documents, pleadings, correspondence, discovery-related materials, and trial preparation documents.
- Track deadlines, perform file reviews, complete follow-up tasks, and ensure cases remain organized and trial ready.
- Communicate with clients, attorneys, court personnel, defense counsel, and internal legal support teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal Certificate required, or equivalent substitute experience.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant legal support or paralegal experience preferred based on role level.
- Prior law firm experience preferred.
- Bilingual English and Spanish skills required or strongly preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Word Perfect, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and other office or case management programs.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at a college level.
- Typing speed of at least 45 WPM.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, deadline management, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment.
- Professional communication skills with the ability to interact sensitively with ill clients, family members, attorneys, managers, supervisors, and external contacts.
- Experience supporting Personal Injury, Wrongful Death, asbestos, mass tort, or plaintiff-side litigation matters.
- Experience with e-filing, e-service, court calendaring, deposition coordination, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with California civil procedure, court deadlines, OSC reviews, Case Management Conferences, Trial Setting Conferences, and preference motions.
- Experience maintaining and updating legal case management systems.
