Estate Planning and Probate Paralegal

• Advanced Knowledge:
  You should have a strong working knowledge of estate planning, with familiarity with Oregon estate-related tax concepts. Experience with more complex planning matters is helpful, and a willingness to continue learning is valued.
• Estate Planning
  
  Experience:
  
  Experience drafting estate planning documents is important. Experience with sophisticated planning, including federally taxable estates, is a plus.
• Probate
  
  Experience:
  
  Experience managing probate matters, coordinating the process, and drafting pleadings is preferred. Candidates who have handled key parts of the probate process and are ready to grow into broader responsibility are encouraged to apply.
• Creative Thinking:
  The ability to think creatively and tackle cutting-edge projects that are often outside the norm.
• Professionalism:
  Strong interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and respectful client communication are important. We value someone who can build positive relationships with clients, attorneys, and team members.
• Technical:
  Familiarity with Interactive Legal or similar estate planning document systems is helpful but not required.

• Draft complex estate planning documents and manage the document preparation process using systems like Interactive Legal.
• Handle all aspects of probate cases, including coordination and drafting necessary pleadings.
• Work closely with clients, ensuring compassionate and respectful interaction while building strong relationships.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other team members on complex projects, contributing creative solutions.
