• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.
• Participate in court conferences, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Advise clients on case strategy and risk.
• Negotiate settlements when appropriate.
• Collaborate with colleagues, staff, and experts to prepare matters for trial or alternative dispute resolution.
• Maintain consistent communication with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.

• Strong foundation in law, including civil litigation, insurance defense and municipal law.
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and apply relevant statutes and case law.
• Proficiency in legal research using both traditional and electronic resources.
• Effective negotiation skills for settlement discussions and dispute resolution.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Prior experience in civil litigation or insurance defense preferred.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

• Admission in good standing to the New York State Bar.
