Salary Range: $110,000 To $150,000 Annually
About the organization:
Our Client is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Senior Trust & Estate Administrator to join their Trusts, Estates & Wealth Preservation group. In this role, you will serve as a key member of the team, partnering closely with attorneys and professionals to deliver exceptional service to the firms clients. You will play an integral role in complex estate and trust matters from inception through completion.
Key responsibilities include:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare probate documents, court petitions, and related filings with accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare Federal and State Estate, Inheritance, Income, and Gift Tax Returns.
- Manage accountings of estate assets, including gathering, valuing, and transferring assets throughout the administration process.
- Coordinate estate and trust terminations, overseeing asset distribution to beneficiaries.
- Conduct due diligence reviews and document examination for a variety of trust and estate transactions.
- Serve as a point of contact for attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and other third parties, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Organize and produce polished final document deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
- Handle additional responsibilities as needed to support the practice group's evolving needs.
- Bachelor's degree, or associate degree with a Paralegal certificate.
- Minimum of five years of trust and estate administration experience, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PDF creation tools, document management systems, and timekeeping software; demonstrated ability to learn new technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally across all levels of the firm and with external parties.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical abilities, and the capacity to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Ability to provide guidance and training to junior team members.
- Proven discretion in handling confidential matters, a polished demeanor, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
- If based in New York, agreement to be present in the firm's Short Hills office on as needed basis.

- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
- Ability to meet minimum billable hourly requirement.
- This position is generally performed in a professional office setting; 70% sitting, 20% standing, and 10% walking
- This position routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptops, computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets, in a home office as well as an in-person office environment.
- Ability to lift/move up to 20 pounds.
