Family Law Attorney

A well-established estate planning firm in San Diego is looking for an experienced Estate Planning Attorney to join their team of seven attorneys and a strong support staff. The firm's practice focuses on estate planning, trust and estate administration, and probate, serving a sophisticated client base. Candidates must have at least 3 years of estate planning experience to be considered.

The Estate Planning Attorney will manage a caseload of estate planning and administration matters from start to finish. The attorney will work closely with clients, colleagues and support staff to deliver thoughtful, high-quality planning. This role suits an attorney who wants long-term growth at a firm that values its team.

• Meet with clients to assess their goals and design estate plans that fit their needs
• Draft and review wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, healthcare directives and related documents
• Handle trust administration and estate administration matters
• Manage probate matters, including filings and court appearances
• Advise clients on asset protection, wealth transfer and tax considerations
• Work with financial advisors, CPAs and other professionals on client matters
• Supervise and work with paralegals and support staff

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Active member in good standing of the State Bar of California
• 3+ years of estate planning experience
• Experience with trust administration and probate
• Strong drafting, analytical and client communication skills
• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple matters
• Estate planning certification or an LL.M. in Taxation is a plus

• Salary range of $130,000-$150,000/year commensurate with experience
• Hybrid schedule: 1 day per week optional remote working
