Trust and Estates Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Trust and Estates Attorney to join their team in Worcester, MA. The successful candidate will work with an established client base, assist in transitioning relationships from retiring attorneys, mentor associates, and contribute to the department's growth and direction.

• Advise clients on estate planning, trusts, special needs, probate, and estate administration.
• Draft and review wills, trusts, and related estate planning documents.
• Manage estate and trust administration from inception to completion.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist in transitioning and retaining clients from retiring attorneys.
• Mentor and guide associates within the practice.
• Contribute to the strategic growth and management of the department.
• Support business and client development initiatives.
• Take on increasing leadership responsibilities within the department.
• Contribute to the firm's broader objectives through client satisfaction and practice growth.

• Approximately 10 years of substantive Trusts and Estates experience.
• Strong background in estate planning, drafting, special needs planning, and estate administration.
• Ability to manage sophisticated client matters independently.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior attorneys is highly desirable.
• Interest in practice leadership and long-term department growth.
• A portable book of business is welcome, but not required.
• Willingness to work primarily from the Worcester office, with 1-2 remote days per week available after the initial integration period.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Licensed to practice law in the state of Massachusetts.
