Associate Attorney - Family Business and Litigation Immigration

Job OverviewA law firm seeks a dedicated immigration attorney in Houston, TX, who is passionate about serving clients, including start-ups, organizations of all sizes, individuals, and families. This position follows a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work.

• Prepare case strategies and nonimmigrant and immigrant employment and family-based filings with USCIS, DOL, DOS, and EOIR.
• Prepare waivers and consular and CBP packets as needed.
• Prepare and file motions, briefs, and other pleadings with DHS, BIA, BALCA, and EOIR as needed.
• Represent clients in removal/deportation proceedings before the Immigration Court as needed.
• Communicate with clients including HR professionals, employees, and individuals.
• Work with a team of experienced attorneys in representation of clients.
• Collaborate with and oversee legal staff in successful delivery of assigned matters.
• Conduct legal research and stay current on immigration case law, regulations, and policy changes.

• JD licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 1 year or more experience as an immigration lawyer in business, family, and/or removal.
• Strong oral advocacy and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn.
• Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
