Job OverviewA
law firm seeks a Senior Litigation Associate Attorney to join their remote team. This position is open to candidates located anywhere in the United States, with travel required for court appearances and client meetings. The role involves managing complex litigation matters and providing strategic legal advice to clients.
Duties- Independently manage a caseload of complex commercial and healthcare-related litigation matters.
- Draft and argue substantive motions, pleadings, and briefs.
- Oversee all aspects of discovery, including document review and depositions.
- Appear in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and arbitration settings.
- Provide strategic legal advice to clients regarding litigation exposure and dispute resolution.
- Lead or participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Collaborate with partners and junior attorneys, providing mentorship and oversight.
- Handle a range of disputes, including commercial, healthcare, and employment matters.
- 5-8 years of litigation experience in a law firm or comparable setting.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters and client relationships.
- Strong experience with motion practice, discovery, and depositions.
- Trial or arbitration experience preferred.
- Experience with healthcare or private equity-related disputes is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Client-focused mindset with strong business judgment.
- Ability to travel as required.
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited U.S. law school.
CertificationsAdmission to at least one U.S. state bar (D.C. admission or ability to waive in preferred).
