A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity Project Attorney with 1-3 years of experience to join their team in San Francisco, CA, with consideration for remote work within the US. This role involves supporting a dynamic Cybersecurity & Incident Response practice, offering the opportunity to develop expertise in incident response and work on high-profile matters.
Duties- Coordinate responses to security incidents across legal, technical, and business stakeholders.
- Analyze breach notification laws and advise on obligations and timelines.
- Advise on security aspects of corporate transactions.
- Direct forensic investigations and liaise with vendors.
- Manage regulatory reporting obligations and litigation holds.
- Draft and review incident-related communications.
- Conduct data impact assessments and support post-incident remediation.
- Develop and refine incident response workflows and procedures.
- Support projects to integrate technology into legal practice.
- Educate legal professionals on incident response tools and resources.
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an accredited institution.
- Admission to practice in good standing in a US jurisdiction.
- 1-3 years of experience in cybersecurity incident response or related fields.
- Experience with data breach response preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and manage multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with breach notification laws and incident response workflows.
- Interest in legal technology and AI applications.
- Strong analytical and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
- Juris Doctorate (J.D.)
- Admission to practice law in a US jurisdiction
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational abilities.
