Mass Torts Staff Attorney - ERISA Litigation; Atlanta or Phoenix

Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP seeks a highly qualified Staff Attorney to join its Mass Torts Practice Group. This opportunity is open to our Atlanta, GA or Phoenix, AZ offices.

The position will involve working in an active and dynamic practice that touches all aspects of litigation including discovery, depositions, motions practice, and trial. The successful candidate will be given autonomy to handle assigned cases while also having access to the knowledge and experience of seasoned litigators.

Candidates with at least two years of experience in one or more of the following areas are preferred: insurance defense, bad faith litigation or ERISA litigation. Successful candidates will possess strong written and oral advocacy skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is both a team player and a self starter, seeking increasing levels of responsibility.

The litigators in the Mass Torts Practice Group frequently collaborate to analyze and strategize how to handle each case. The successful candidate must possess the skills and judgement necessary to conduct research and apply relevant laws, court decisions, and rules of evidence and procedure to effectively defend clients and reach a successful resolution of each matter. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively and cooperatively with paralegals, legal practice assistants and staff.

Candidates must be licensed in Georgia or Arizona and in good standing, or be eligible to seek admission without examination. Candidates must also be willing to travel for court appearances and other proceedings as necessary. We are open to work from home, part-time schedule, or other flexible hour arrangements.
