Municipal Litigation Attorney

Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Municipal Litigation Attorney in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. This fully remote position requires residency in the DFW area. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of litigation experience, particularly in municipal disputes, and strong research and communication skills.

• Provide legal counsel to municipalities on various issues.
• Handle complex municipal litigation, including contract disputes and governmental immunity.
• Draft and file pleadings, motions, and legal documents.
• Conduct legal research and analysis for case strategy.
• Participate in discovery processes.
• Attend court hearings, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on case strategies.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Stay informed on municipal litigation laws and procedures.
• Meet a monthly billable hour requirement of 140 hours.

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• 2-3 years of litigation experience, preferably with municipalities.
• Insurance defense experience considered.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication abilities, including public speaking.
• Ability to manage a diverse workload independently.
