The Legal team is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join its Litigation group. This is a high-volume environment supporting a small, collaborative team that values employees who are willing to roll up their sleeves, take ownership, and jump in where needed.
Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a seasoned Paralegal (Litigation) to provide administrative and legal support to a Senior Paralegal and attorneys within the Litigation team.
Please note: This is a very high-volume, fast-paced environment
. Although the position is legal in nature, the initial work will be heavily administrative and focused on managing documentation, processing incoming matters, maintaining files, entering information into tracking systems, and supporting established workflows. As you become familiar with the team's processes and demonstrate strong performance, you will gradually take on more substantive paralegal responsibilities and greater ownership of casework.
This is a 100% remote position
. Candidates must have previous experience successfully working in a fully remote environment and be comfortable managing their workload independently while collaborating with colleagues across multiple time zones.
The team operates with high expectations and limited hand-holding. The ideal candidate is someone who can quickly learn processes, prioritize competing deadlines, identify issues independently, and keep work moving without requiring constant direction.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and manage multiple shared Legal inboxes and incoming service-of-process channels.
- Review incoming physical and electronic correspondence and determine the appropriate next steps.
- Identify time-sensitive or higher-risk items, including litigation documents, subpoenas, complaints, demand letters, regulatory communications, and attorney correspondence.
- Organize and maintain electronic case files, correspondence, and supporting documentation.
- Accurately enter and update information in legal tracking systems and internal databases.
- Route documents and requests to the appropriate attorney, paralegal, or internal business partner.
- Escalate court deadlines, regulatory matters, service-of-process issues, and other urgent items promptly.
- Track the receipt, assignment, status, and resolution of incoming legal matters.
- Follow up on outstanding items and requests for additional information.
- Keep legal inboxes, tracking systems, and case files organized and up to date.
- Assist with maintaining complaint and litigation trackers used for Legal department reporting.
- Support the Legal team with document retrieval, case research, matter status updates, and other litigation-related administrative needs.
- Help identify recurring issues or trends within incoming complaints and legal matters and elevate noteworthy concerns.
- Assist with improving internal legal processes, workflows, and organizational systems.
- Provide general paralegal and Legal Operations support as needed.
