Consumer Financial Services Attorney

Job OverviewA law firm seeks a Consumer Financial Services Attorney to join its practice in Cleveland, OH. This fully remote position offers an exciting opportunity for career growth, with comprehensive training and mentorship provided. The attorney must be licensed and reside in Ohio.

• Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including foreclosures, case strategy, discovery, motion practice, depositions, arbitrations, appeals, and trial preparation.
• Draft and argue motions, pleadings, and legal briefs.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial disputes.
• Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Advise clients on risk assessment and litigation strategies.
• Assist with negotiating and drafting agreements to resolve distressed loan products.

• Must be admitted to the Ohio bar and be in good standing.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial litigation preferred.
• Experience in consumer financial services litigation and/or commercial litigation considered a plus.
• Strong legal writing, research, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Licensed to practice law in Ohio.
